This was a special order for a special birthday boy. When I was first asked to make an XBOX360 cake I thought to myself... What's an XBOX? (just another reminder I'm getting old lol). Anyway needless to say some research was in order. I got every picture off the internet, watched You Tube videos and tried to get a clear idea of what this game box looked like from every angle. Making a reality cake is always a challenge but there is such a sense of accomplishment when it is done and it comes out looking just like the real thing. The biggest challenge was actually the head piece. Making one that wouldn't break was harder than I thought, but in the end it worked out beautifully.

The headset was made out of gum paste, and the game control was a small cake covered with fondant...I thought this would be the perfect "slice" of cake for the birthday boy  :-)

Underneath the sleek exterior was a delicious Hershey's Chocolate cake with Chocolate cream filling, yummmm.

What a cool way to celebrate Keyshaun 9th Birthday and to let him know just how special he really is!

What a way to celebrate the coming arrival of a baby girl. Butterflies at the excitement and everywhere around the room. It was only fitting that the cake would be all about butterflies as well.

It was three tiers of delicious chocolate and vanilla cake. Spiral swarm of butterflies leading up to the little butterfly baby figurine cake topper, made by hand from fondant.

Delivering a three tier cake can be a project in it self. I had to deliver the cake in two parts and assemble it on site to make sure the cake didn't get damaged during the delivery.

Here I am adding final touches just before the guests arrived.

When Tiffany first saw the cake, she clapped her hands in excitement and said I am so happy, which of course made me so happy.

When I heard her sister after taking the first bite from her piece of cake, saying "It's amazing"....I was again...so happy :-)

Congratulations Tiffany!
